By bicycle from Cuauhtémoc to Azcapotzalco

This ride takes you from the bustling heart of Cuauhtémoc, at the edge of Mexico City's historic downtown, up north to Azcapotzalco—a district with roots going back to the Aztec era. You'll cover just under 10 km, mostly along quiet, paved roads, making it a chill route for casual riders and commuters alike.

Expect a gentle upward slope for most of the way (nothing wild—about 15 meters total ascent), and you’ll rarely have to deal with busy roads. The route’s mostly asphalt, with a bit of concrete and a few stretches where the surface isn’t marked, but nothing tricky. Along the way, you’ll pedal through lively neighborhoods, pass apartment blocks, shops, and local markets—so keep your eyes out, there’s lots to see.

Once you get to Azcapotzalco, take a stroll (or ride) through its central plaza—home to the beautiful San Felipe y Santiago church. Whether you’re headed for work, a visit, or just some city exploration, this is a super-friendly, urban cycling trip.
