Cycling day trip from Aurora to Glendale

Roll out from Aurora—one of Colorado’s largest and most diverse cities, home to the Anschutz Medical Campus—and link up with paved creekside trails toward Cherry Creek. It’s almost entirely on dedicated cycleways (about 94%) and fully paved (concrete and asphalt), so any bike will do. Over roughly 20.8 km, you’ll only gain about 30 m and drop about 50 m, making it an easy mile‑high cruise with plenty of room to enjoy the views.

As you approach Glendale, you’ll follow the Cherry Creek corridor into this small city that’s famously surrounded by Denver. Glendale’s known for Infinity Park, a rugby hub, and easy access to Cherry Creek’s shops and eateries—perfect for a post‑ride bite.
