By bicycle from Kaliningrad to Maloye Isakovo

Kaliningrad, with its classic mix of Prussian and Russian history, is a fascinating place to start—think old forts, leafy boulevards, and the famous Kant Island.

As you pedal north, most of your journey follows quiet roads and access ways, making it a pretty relaxing cruise. About a third of the ride is on smooth asphalt, but you’ll find the surface changes now and then: expect a few cobblestoned and concrete sections, but nothing too wild (no gravel!).
