Cycling day trip from Săcele to Câmpina

This ride kicks off in Săcele, a lively town right next to Brașov, well known for its beautiful setting among the Carpathian foothills. Get ready, because your 85 km journey to Câmpina is an epic mountain adventure! With close to 3,000 meters of climbing (and a similar amount of descending), this route takes you up to almost 1,900 meters altitude—a real leg burner!

Expect a real mix under your wheels: about 45% of the surface is a mystery, but you’ll definitely hit gravel, ground, and even some muddy tracks, so a gravel or mountain bike is a must. The first part is pure Carpathian wilderness, zigzagging on tracks and unpaved paths with plenty of stunning forest and alpine views.
