Cycling day trip from Predeal to Râşnov

Get ready for a scenic and slightly adventurous ride from Predeal to Râşnov! This cycling route covers almost 22 km and offers a brilliant mix of forest paths, quiet backroads, and a healthy dose of mountain air. The journey begins in Predeal—Romania’s highest town and a popular ski resort perched in the heart of the Carpathians. You'll soon notice a decent amount of climbing early on, with a total ascent of around 630 meters, but it’s well worth it for the sweeping downhill stretches that follow (over 1,000 meters of descent—get ready for some speed!).

About 36% of the route is on unpaved surfaces, including gravel and forest ground, making it best suited for mountain or hybrid bikes.
