By bicycle from Kežmarok to Spišská Belá

Get ready for a scenic ride between two charming towns in northern Slovakia! Starting in Kežmarok, known for its beautiful wooden articular church (a UNESCO site) and its Renaissance castle, you’ll pedal north towards Spišská Belá—a quiet little town celebrated for its connection to the 19th-century balloonist and explorer Samuel Tomašik.

This route is just over 10 km, making it ideal for a relaxed half-day outing. You’ll cruise along a pleasant mix of surfaces, with lots of gravel and unpaved paths—perfect if you like a bit of adventure and don’t mind getting your tires a tad dusty. Some gentle climbing (just over 220 meters ascent) keeps things interesting, and you’ll top out at around 715 meters for some nice views of the surrounding countryside.
