By bicycle from Óbuda-Békásmegyer to Budapest XIV. kerület

This relaxed cycling route takes you from Óbuda-Békásmegyer, one of Budapest’s greenest districts up by the Danube, and winds southeast to the lively Budapest XIV. kerület, home to the famous City Park (Városliget) and Széchenyi Bath.

Covering just over 7 km, you’ll cruise mostly on smooth paved and asphalt paths, so the ride is fairly easy and beginner-friendly. Expect a gentle ascent of about 28 meters—nothing that’ll have you gasping for breath, but enough to keep things interesting. Most of the route follows actual cycleways and quiet roads, making it a comfortable journey even during busier hours.
