Cycling day trip from Sztutowo to Krynica Morska

This cycle route connects the small village of Sztutowo—famous for its WWII-era Stutthof concentration camp museum—with the lively seaside resort of Krynica Morska on the Vistula Spit. Expect about 23 km of pleasant riding, mixing patches of shaded forest trails and a nice balance of unpaved tracks (mostly gravel) and paved cycleways. The ride is gently undulating, with just over 100 meters of gentle ascent and descent, making it accessible for most cyclists.

You'll spend nearly half your journey on dedicated cycle paths, winding through the pine forests that give the spit its unique charm. The final kilometers open up to the Baltic Sea breeze as you approach Krynica Morska, known for its wide, sandy beaches and iconic lighthouse.

It’s a great day out if you want to blend a bit of nature, history, and sea air—all without dealing with busy roads. Just be ready for some bumpy sections where the gravel gets loose (nothing a hybrid or trekking bike can’t handle). Don’t forget your camera: there are gorgeous stretches along the way, especially as you get closer to the coast!
