TOUR DE RHIN I

The first day begins with a short city tour in Neuruppin. First, crossing the wall to the Temple Garden. Then, passing the Fontane Monument to the waterfront promenade with harbor. From there it goes towards Alt-Ruppin on very good forest paths to Neumühle. On the left, passing by Lake Malchow, one cycles along well-developed bike paths to Malchow and further on through Krangen to Zippelsförde. Through Kramnitz, the ride continues to Klosterheide, where the Heidegasthof invites us to stay overnight. On the second day, we ride from the Heidegasthof via Kramnitzmühle and Zechow to Rheinsberg-Untermühle. There, we board canoes to paddle downstream on the Rhin for about 17 km. In Zippelsförde, we finish the boat tour and are driven back to Rheinsberg by Berger Tours, where we get back on our bikes and return to Klosterheide via Menz, the completely abandoned village of Hindenberg, and Banzendorf. On the third day, we begin on quiet paths through Lindow (Mark), Keller, passing the Salchowsee and Kirchsee lakes towards Baumgarten and then to Meseberg. With a view of the federal government guesthouse Schloss Meseberg, we continue to Granssee, where we can take a coffee break. Afterwards, we ride the Copenhagen-Berlin long-distance bike route through Zehdenick and Liebenwalde to Oranienburg to conclude our tour at the train station. This tour is very family-friendly, so children from about 12 years old can join. Of course, trained cyclists can also complete the tour in one or two days (but without the canoe trip).
