Zámek Hořín Manor house The hunting lodge was originally built by the ambassador in Warsaw, Heřman Jakub Czernin from Chudenice (1659–1710). As the dowry of Maria Ludmila Czerninová (1738–1790), who married Prince Augustus Antonín of Lobkowicz (1729–1803) in 1753, the castle and the estate became the property of the Lobkowicz family. During the times of socialism, it was nationalized and used for school purposes, in the 1990s it was returned to the mill branch of the Lobkowicz family, and its current owner is Jiří Lobkowicz, born in 1956 in Zurich. After the revolution, he accepted Czechoslovak citizenship and today lives in the Mělník castle, which he repaired and returned to, for example, wine production.
