About This Route

  • A bike ride suitable for most abilities! The route is 7.3km long and is made up entirely of cycle ways. The surfaces are a mix of paved, unpaved and gravel which are deemed suitable for mountain bikes, road bikes and city bikes.
  • Ride to the end of Paston lane, use the crossing to cross lincoln road and access the seaplane cycle way.
  • Follow the seaplane cycle way before joining the national cycle network route 12, Follow route 12 and turn right on to rhubarb bridge.
  • Rhubarb bridge will take you on to Bretton way cycle path, stay on the cycle path before turning left at the pyramid to Heltwate road.
  • Follow the cycle path round to the left after passing Bretton water park.
  • Follow the path down to flaxland until you reach the Airfeild cycle way, continueto follow until you reach the Rightwell Ecycle path.
  • Stay on this route before turning left on to the workhouse cycle way and then your first right immediately after.
  • Follow the path until you reach the Nassaburgh trail, follow the trail before turning left on to the bluebell trail.
  • Follow the trail before turning left and crossing ham bridge
  • Take a right on to Goldie lane and follow until you reach the Visitor centre.
