About this route
Die Strecke führt vom Hartmannsdorfer Oberdorf aus über Wittgensdorf und Heinersdorf zum Chemnitztalradweg. Auf dem geht es dann nach Chemnitz in die Innenstadt herein und Richtung Westen wieder Stadtauswärts. Über Rabenstein und die alte Eisenbahnstrecke (Limbach - Grüna) gelangt man nach Kändler und zurück nach Hartmannsdorf.
Die Strecke führt größtenteils über asphaltierte Straßen und Weg. Jedoch müssen auch ein ein paar Kilometer auf teils etwas ausgespülten Schotterwegen bewältigt werden.
Zunächst weist die Strecke bis nach Chemnitz hinein und in die Fahrt gen Westen wenig Steigungen auf. Dann wird es jedoch etwas hüglig. Hier kann man aber auch alternative Routen wählen.
Unterwegs gibt es schöne Stellen zum Rasten, z.B. in Nähe des Schlossteiches oder im neu angelegten Park am Kappelbach.
