About This Route

Im ersten Drittel lässt sich die Strecke wunderbar befahren, meist auf Asphalt, selten auf Schotterwegen wie ganz zu Beginn und nach der Abzweigung im Park.

Im zweiten Drittel bis Furtwangen kann man wählen, ob man auf der befestigten Kreis- oder Landstraße fahren will oder ob man den geschotterten Radweg am Waldrand bevorzugt.

Das letzte Dritel ab Furtwangen führt über den Katzensteig wie bis hierher auch nur moderat bergauf. Erst die letzten 3 Kilometer von der Abzweigung an der Alten Schule in den Neuweg bis in die Nähe der St. Martinskapelle geht es heftig bergan. Am Berggasthaus Kolmenhof Donauquelle ist die Bregquelle in ca. 1100 Meter Höhe zu finden.

Insgesamt eine landschaftlich sehr reizvolle Strecke mit anstrengendem Finale, das sich lohnt.
