2012 French Tour -- Ride Day 49 -- 11 October 2012 -- Théoule-sur-Mer (Miramar) to La-Garde-Freinet

From our start near Miramar until close to St-Raphaël, the riding on D559 was fine.  After this point, though, there was far too much traffic pretty much all the way to the D14 turnoff.  We rode this same portion in 2004 in mid October and we remember some traffic, but not the continuous traffic that we often had today.  There were some sections that had good bicycling path.

D558 had a nice long climb to La-Garde-Freinet and had a good shoulder pretty much all the way.  We would have continued farther today, but rain made us decide to look for a hotel early.
