About This Route

This was a rather ambitious half day ride. Ferry from Uig arrived at 11:20, after picking up the shopping, riding to Drinishader hostel to drop off gear it was after lunch before we set off on the main ride. The east coast road is a crazy wild rollercoaster weaving its way round the rocks and lochans. We did this first leaving the easier west coast road past the famous beaches with the wind behind us to the end of the day. The final grind back to Drinishader was hard work though. total distance from Flodigarrry from bike computer = 93km

Highlights: a fun road to ride if you like hills; beautiful beaches (pity the weather was misty, windy and cold!)

Accommodation: Drinishader hostel, highly recommended
