About This Route

A rolling ride in Eastern Summers and Western Monroe Counties using State Route 122 to connect the two loops.  One real challenging climb to Wikel and a short steep climb at the end of Blue Lick Creek.

0.0    0.0    Start - Head North (Toward Hinton) on State 12<br /> 0.1    0.1    Right on Co. 21/3 and bare right on 12/5 at next intersection.<br /> 2.5    2.4    Right on Co. 17 - You will cross into Monroe County before the next turn.<br /> 3.2    0.8    Right on             Steep Downhill and rough broken pavement when you  get to the bottom.<br /> 4.6    1.4    Left on State 122.  Indian Creek will be on your right.<br /> 6.3        Straight - Short ride turns right here.  You will turn left here coming back.<br /> 9.2        Convenience Store in Greenville on the left.<br /> 9.5    4.9    Left onto Co.  23/4<br /> 13.1        Cross Lillydale Covered Bridge<br /> 14.4    4.9    Right onto 23/5.  A very sharp right turn.<br /> 18.0    3.6    Left onto State Route 122<br /> 18.9    0.9    Right onto Co. 23/7  <br /> 20.5        Straight at intersection in Wikel onto  219/17.<br /> 23.3    4.4    Right onto Co. 26 at the old Coulter Chapel before getting to U.S. 219<br /> 29.4        Caution: Medal Deck Bridge<br /> 29.8    6.5    Left on  school street in downtown Greenville.<br /> 29.9    0.1    Left on State Route 122 - Short detour to right for convenience store.<br /> 32.7    2.8    Left onto  Co. 26 going up Hans Creek Valley.  Route rejoins short route here.<br />         Caution: Bridge across Indian Creek is medal Deck.<br /> 35.8    3.1    Left at end of bridge to continue on Co. 25.<br /> 36.9        Caution: Medal deck bridge.<br /> 40.6        Begin steep climb<br /> 41.1    5.3    Right onto  Co. 27.     Top of climb.        <br /> 41.4        Bare right to stay on Co. 27<br /> 43.9    2.8    Left on Co.  33.<br /> 47.0    3.1    Left on State Route 12 - Store on left just after the turn.<br /> 47.4    0.4    Right onto Co.24 at the volunteer fire department.<br /> 50.1    2.7    Straight across intersection onto 24/3 Shanklin's Ferry Road. Cross into Summers Co. shortly.<br />         Option to go right here and cut off a little climbing and a couple of miles.    <br /> 52.2    2.1    Right at intersection onto 23/5.<br /> 54.1        Caution:  Lip on part of bridge my create a road hazard.<br /> 54.6    2.4    Straight at Intersection with<br /> 57.5        Bluestone Wildlife Management Area office.<br /> 58.5        Bare Right to stay on Co. 21/2<br /> 60.4    5.8    Left onto State Route 12.<br /> 62.2    1.8    Finish
