* Se poate economisi timp pt prima parte a traseului mergand pe sosea pana la Finisel. Pe varianta prezentata drumul e innierbat pe alocuri sau cu santuri. cca 2h

* din Finisel urcarea e relativ lina pana aproape de Plopi, pe drum forestier, cca 1h 30'

* urmeaza o urcare mai abrupta spre saua Prislop. 1h pe langa bicicleta

* de aici ai o priveliste splendida. in fata-jos e Valea Ierii, iar in spate in departare se vede orasul ClujNapoca

* coborarea spre Somesul Rece e solicitanta si pt om si pt bicicleta, pe drum cu pietre si bolovani maruntiti, dar peisajul merita admirat. cca 1h

* ultima parte (18km) pe asfalt se parcurge repede, pe coborare lina si plat in cca 30'
