This route begins and finishes on the minor road between Kingussie and Tromie Bridge. The rest of the route is entirely off-road on a mix of estate track, forest road and purpose built paths. A fast rider could complete it in approx. 1 1/2 hours; average 2 - 2 1/2 hours; slow/leisurely 3+ hours; plus time for stops. The Uath Lochans are conveniently situated at the halfway point and are a superb location for a lunch/picnic stop. There are no refreshments available enroute so you need to take food and drink with you.
