About This Route

This ride takes me between 5 and 6 hours depending on wind etc. Some of the views are magnificent. From above Quernmore, the Fylde plain lies before you and includes sight of Blackpool tower. This ride also takes in parts of the Lune valley and Trough of Bowland, both outstanding.

Mostly tarmaced surface except for a short stretch from Glasson to Lancaster which is metalled trail and can get mucky in wet weather

A long steep climb out of Quernmore, other than that nothing too strenuous

Plenty of toilet and frereshment stops, apart from the Quernmore-Dunsop Bridge portion
