Christchurch City to Little River Railtrail start (scenic route)

This route takes riders on a scenic ride from the central city to the start point of the Little River RailTrail in Hornby.  Begining at the Christchurch Cathedral the route passes the Art Gallery, Arts Centre, Museum before going through Hagley Park to Mona Vale, Riccarton Bush, University of Canterbury, the former Wigram Airfield to the sart point of the Little River Railtrail.  The route primarily uses cycleways and road infrastructure with the majority of roads being quiet suburban streets, however, there are some major roads that will need to be negotiated (take care).  This route could also be used to access the Little River Railtrail from Christchurch International Airport.
