Auf den Spuren der alten Römer in der Region
Die Region um Ingolstadt war einst Teil der römischen Provinz Raetica, im Grenzbereich zu den Germanen im Norden. Überall haben die Römer ihre Spuren hinterlassen, lassen sich Zeugnisse ihrer Hochkultur finden. Wo früher römische Legionäre, Siedler und Händler wanderten, können Radwanderer in der heutigen Zeit römische Geschichte "erfahren", in einer reizvollen Landschaft, zwischen beschaulichen Dörfern, Burgen, Schlössern und Museen. Teilweise führt die Via Raetica entlang des Limes, des ehemaligen Grenzwalls, der das römische Imperium vom Einflussbereich der Germanen trennte und heute UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe ist.
