About This Route

Sunday Aug 21, 2016, 8:00am, World Cup Ski and Cycle

3804 Gettysburg, Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011 (717-730-9402).

Ride to honor the memory of racing cyclist Rodney Myers, killed in a cycling accident April 2016.  Will leave from World Cup Ski and Cycle, 3804 Gettysburg, Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011 (717-730-9402).  Will stop by his parents house to pay our respects,  traverse thru his home neighborhood on Boeing Road and return to World Cup.  Total ride is about 15 miles.   One small hill (Slate Hill) exists.  Terrain, is rolling to flat.  Speed will be slow 15-18mph and a road bike is recommended.  First part of the ride is rural, second part (depending on rider numbers) is thru the town of New Cumberland, with possible traffic.   In the interest of safety, if the group is large, we may return via the outbound route, rather than town to stick to quieter roads.  PLEASE obey ALL traffic rules and controls, and most of all - honor Rod's memory.
