About This Route

Der Aufgalopp unseres Kurztrips fand im nahen Thüringer Wald statt. Wobei die ersten 20 km auch dem Einrollen dienten, bevor des dann in den Thüringer Wald ging. Der erste Anstieg hinauf zur Ruhlaer Skihütte diente als erster Prüfstein, bevor es über mehrere Wellen nach Schmalkalden ging. Der Thüringer Wald wurde das erste Mal überfahren. Über den Heuberg wurde der Kamm ein zweites Mal überfahren, um den Großen Inselsberg von Norden in Angriff zu nehmen. Kurz vor dem Gipfel musste man sich sogar auf Pflaster nach oben kämpfen. Über Brotterode, Ruhla und einigen Wellen fuhren wir wieder Richtung Eisenach, wo die erste Etappe dann nach 116 km und 2.281 HM zu Ende ging.
