清晨時分光復路車輛稀少，走芎林較為快速簡便

回程光復路車輛擁擠危險，改走台三切寶山水庫

北橫行程必須由非旺季舉辦(水蜜桃季)

旺季時容易遊覽車塞車延綿數多公里

北橫不好天黑騎，無燈危險懸崖峭壁
