About This Route

Leichte MTB-Tour – perfekt geeignet als Familientour. Die Malser Haide gilt als größter Schwemmkegel der Alpen. Das Gebiet wird noch traditionell landwirtschaftlich genutzt.

Die Malser Haide gehört zu den eindrucksvollsten geologischen Formationen der Welt. Sie staut den Haidersee und erstreckt sich über mehr als 10 Kilometer in einer erstaunlich flach abfallend geschwungenen Form bis hinunter nach Glurns. Gut erkennbar die ehemaligen Abbruchstellen im Plawenntal, die bis zur 2903 m hohen Mittereckspitze sichtbar sind.
