About This Route

V roce 2014 se území Kokořínska rozšířilo o oblast zrušeného vojenského újezdu v okolí Doks. Nový název oblasti je Kokořínsko – Máchův kraj a po Máchově cestě dnes také pojedeme. Krajina je kouzelná, s borovými lesy a pískovcovými skalami. Na rozdíl od jižněji ležícího původního Kokořínska je území rovinatější. Naštěstí ne všude, v oblasti Hradčanských stěn si užijeme stoupání i sjezdy tmavými roklemi. A po náročné cestě terénem se osvěžíme koupelí v Máchově jezeru.

(From Bezděz to Mácha's Lake among sandstone rocks)

In 2014 the territory of Kokorinsko was extended to the area of the former military area near Doksy. The new name of the area is Kokořínsko - Mácha's Country and along Macha's Road we will go today too. The landscape is magical, with pine forests and sandstone rocks. Unlike the southern part of Kokořínsko, the territory is flatter. Fortunately, not everywhere, in the area of Hradčany Walls, we enjoy climbs and downhills through the dark canyons. And after a rough trip through the terrain we refresh ourselves with a bath in Mácha's Lake.
