About this route
This may be the coolest bike ride that I have ever biked on a semi-regular basis. Back in 2000-2003, when I lived in Alpine, the bike lane on GWB went on the south side and it was somewhat challenging to find the way down to the bike path along the river. There are a couple of pretty substantial climbs, too, particularly going up to Alpine from the Henry Hudson Drive.
