Ideal tour for beginners who want to do an extended round with the e-bike. With the e-bike on the K & K round through the World Heritage region, the Ausseerland and the imperial city of Bad Ischl.
This lovely tour begins in Bad Goisern. The first section is along Lake Hallstatt's Eastern Shore Trail. With some uphill and downhill stretches, the trail continues to the Koppental. The Koppental Valley is very picturesque, and here you begin a steeper ascent on to the Koppenpass mountain pass which leads to Bad Aussee. From Altaussee we continue to the Blaa Alm and the Rettenbachalm. After passing through the Rettebachalm we reach Bad Ischl. The route brings you to the historic centre of the town, and from here you continue along the esplanade to the Katrinalm cable car terminus. In the footsteps of the Kaiser, we continue via Lauffen back to Bad Ischl. Start in Bad Goisern - Goisern Mill, Tourist Information, Mauna Loa, Moserwirt. Via Au, past the Gasthof zur Post (possible stop-off). Turn off left on to the Eastern Shore Cycle Trail - along the lake to the Seerauzn (possible stop-off). Turn off left - small ascent - then right - past Hallstatt Railway Station to Obertraun - Dachsteinhof. Hollwirt - join the Koppenwinkelrunde to the Koppenwinkelsee Lake. Head towards the Koppenwinkel Caves and follow the new Koppenwinkel Valley Trail to Bad Ausee and Altaussee. Continue in the direction of Hagan Lodges and the Blaa Alm - Rettenbachalm - along the Rettenbach Valley to Bad Ischl (Salzkammergut Touristik - Goldenes Schiff Hotel - Stadt Salzburg Hotel). Via Kaltenbach past the Mount Katrin cable car. Continue to Lauffen - Weissenbach - traunreither Trail back to Bad Goisern.
