Day 2 of 3 for a variation on the C2C. Passing through Askham, Appleby, Winton, Tan Hill, Barnard Castle. Almost all on road with some gravel track down Tam Hill. Note that after Appleby the route deviates from NCR 68/71 to avoid an unecessary climb and chop out a couple of miles before heading into Little Musgrave and Winton. 60miles/97km 960m climb.
