Fedderwardersiel, Langwarden, Ruhwarden - alle diese Orte tragen die zwei Silben "warden" im Namen. An ihnen erkennt man häufig ein ursprüngliches Wurtendorf. In der Marschlandschaft weithin sichtbar, sind Wurten bis heute ein besonderes Merkmal der nördlichen Wesermarsch.
