060420 Fort Tilden Pt.1

HB to Rockaway Ferry, with extended visit to Ft. Tilden.  Part 2 begins at the Astoria Ferry stop.

1. Mazeau Overpass is perfect for bikes.  No stopgates.
2. Lost sense of direction in  Highland park.  Was supposed to continue on Kighland Blvd to Vermont Avenue, rathher thann end up on Highland Place.
3. Livonia between Van Sinderen and Snediker is eerie.  BNW look, homeless about.
4. It is possible to walk through Canarie Line 105th Street Station.
5. Everryone fishes on the Canarsie Pier.
6. The endd  of rannge road in Fort Tilden is a wondefful, private messy overgrowth of lovely vegetation.
7. Got a bacon cheddar scone from Fat Cardinal.  Meh
8. Beach 116 can be sure a cool, beach destination street, but instead it's a dump.
9. The Stop and Shop by the ferry is good for cheap food, but does not sell single cans of beer.
