About this route
苗56與苗60分別穿過關刀山區與五十分崠山區,起伏較大但後者被列為銅鑼鄉自行車道之一,苗56路況稍差並含部分水泥路面,現在已多由130縣道聯絡三義南湖地區,而少借道苗56,苗38中的挑鹽古道為當地民眾週末假日踏青的好去處,而挑鹽古道的終點亦可鳥瞰苑裡通霄市區,此外位在苗38上的大興華寺亦為著名勝地,苗43貫穿苑裡鎮,路況良好,為聯絡苑裡與三義的重要道路之一,而苗50貫穿苑裡的石鎮里,住戶雖不稠密,但多種植農作物,並包括如白柚等經濟作物
