200809 SE Ross and River Wye

dep 1100 via Yarkhill Dormington Holme Lacy to Carey. Lunch at the Cottage of Content (delicious). On via Kings Caple and How Caple then along lovely quiet road on E bank of river down to Hole in the Wall then on to Ross.  From Ross, out on back roads to Walford then crossing the river twice and on to Symonds Yat East.  Overnight at the Royal Lodge (good value); dinner at the Saracens Head (terrible).
