Some narrow roads with mild-but-steady climbs make this a more challenging ride when heading northbound; when traveling southbound, the corresponding descents make a fast and enjoyable trip.
Intrepid cyclists who stick it out will be rewarded with a scenic pull-off spot by the falls of Silver Creek, where it's possible to take a break in the shade on a hot afternoon. Be sure to pick up a snack at one of the convenience stores on Eastern Boulevard!
Drivers on Blackiston Mill and Rainbow Drive are not always accustomed to encountering cyclists, and these roads offer little margin for error. Use caution and remain alert during these segments of the ride.
Immediately behind the IUS campus, Moser Knob offers spectacular views of Southern Indiana and Louisville -- if you're prepared for a very, very stiff climb on the way out and a shrieking-fast descent on the return trip.
IUS Pond -- Turtles, Geese, and Really Big Fish
ISU Library -- Coffee Shop and Wireless Internet
