About This Route

Wonderful route (all paved) in the Chasseral region. Few km to warm-up then at km 10 (Twann) starts steep climb of 4km. Then downhill for few km and sudden turn to right (direction Enges): this is really nice climb in the forest, 1km long and more than 10% (you need good legs). At the end of forest, turn back again into cantonal road. Next real climb starts at km 34 (La Combe du Sapin) till km 37. Then long downhill and again turn right to Twannberg and it starts lovely and funny part of the road, it's up&down along a narrow road, forbidden to cars. At the end of the climb you need to pass a gate, carrying your bike for few meters. Then fast downhill back to Biel/Bienne.
