About This Route

Take White Bear Av. north to the Gateway Trail. Turn left onto the Trail and follow it until you reach the Wheelock Parkway exit on the left side. The trail exit goes down a little hill under the bridge. Turn right on Wheelock Parkway and follow it over 35E to Rice St. Continue on up a big hill and around to the top. Continue on Wheelock until you reach Lake Como. At Como turn left and follow the parkway around the lake. You are now on Horton which becomes Como Avenue after going through Como Park. Continue on Como Avenue past the State Fair grounds until you reach the Intercampus Trail. Turn left and follow the Intercampus Trail. At Energy Park Drive you can either stay in the road or take the bike path. Keep going until you reach 23rd Ave. SE. at the new Gopher Football Stadium. Turn left to University Av. Turn right at University and follow around as the road curves to the right and becomes 4th St. SE. The bike lane is on the left side of the road. (The return trip will be on University Avenue) Follow 4th St. SE through Dinkytown and over 35W until you reach 7th AvSE. Turn left at 7th and go two blocks to 2nd St. SE and turn right. At 6th Av. turn left and go across the Stone Arch Bridge. AFter crossing the bridge turn left out of the parking lot and go directly across the street to the right and up the ramp next to the stone building. At the top of the ramp continue straight ahead to 3rd Av. South. Turn left and follow 3rd Avenue to 6th Street and your destination.
