Este camino parte de Copina, por la ruta de los Puentes Colgantes, para empalmar el antiguo trazado de la Ruta de las Altas Cumbres, atravesando Pampa de Achala, pasando por el Monolito de la vieja ruta y por el Monumento que recuerda el sitio de lanzamiento del primer cohete espacial argentino, luego pasa por La Posta ye empalma con el Giulio Césare en espectacular descenso hasta Mina Clavero.
