About this route
Radtour von Goch-Nierswald über Kessel zur Niederländischen Grenze. Von dort über die ehemalige Trasse der Boxteler Bahn nach Gennep.
Die Einfahrt nach Gennep auf der Boxteler Bahn erfolgt durch eine sehenswerte Neubausiedlung, die auf dem Gelände einer ehemaligen Papierfabrik errichtet wurde. Direkt am Ende der Siedlung befand sich einst der Bahnhof. Heute erinnert daran eine alte Dampflok. Der Ortskern von Gennep ist sehenswert. Er wird geprägt von dem rund 400 Jahre alten Rathaus.
Der Rückweg führt entlang der Niersauen nach Kessel und von dort vorbei am Kloster Graefenthal wieder nach Nierswalde.
