About This Route

Quiet roads, lovely rolling countryside apart from section down A713 to Castle Douglas (C-D) with long straights and fast (but not frequent) traffic . Village shops and occassional pubs/tearooms - loads at Dumfries and C-D. Some of the A712 Crocketford to New Galloway was quite badly surfaced when i did this (7 May 2011), but saw a couple of roadbikes out enjoying it (I ride a trekker).
