The route is super beginner-friendly, mostly flat with just a gentle climb here and there—expect less than 50 meters of ascent overall. You’ll roll along smooth asphalt for the majority of the way, with sections of paving stones and even a sprinkle of cobblestone to keep things interesting.

Starting out in Budakalász, a quiet suburb known for its green spaces and proximity to the famous Lupa Lake, you’ll quickly pick up a dedicated cycleway that makes up over half the journey. The path offers great river views and it’s generally a relaxing ride, ideal for a laid-back afternoon or a leisurely weekend adventure. The only “rough” spots are a very small portion with missing pavement—just enough to remind you you’re out for an adventure.
