Elogi di Piemonte

The Elogies of Piemonte by Toni Farina are part of a project born with the aim of showcasing "secondary" corners of the Piemonte territory, each with its own "why", whether naturalistic, landscape, historical or otherwise, starting from the premise that the territory is one and its characteristics are correlated.

The corners are titled "elogies", in the sense that they are "praised" for their intrinsic peculiarities.

Each corner is connected to a cycling route. Cycle tourism routes, with the bicycle seen not so much as a means to do sports, but as a suitable means for exploration.

Most of the routes are loops. Where possible, the starting points are located in places with a railway line. The train itself is the subject of a specific praise.

Corners and routes cover the entire territory of the region: plains, hills and, to a lesser extent, also mountains. This is thanks to the spread of e-bikes that allow a wide audience to take on routes that were previously reserved for experienced and trained cyclists.

The routes always run along secondary roads with low traffic intensity. They do not involve the use of mountain bikes.

In any case, the corners are also accessible by other means.
