Pfullendorf–Ruhestetter Ried Ride

Relaxed countryside ride from Pfullendorf into the Ruhestetter Ried nature reserve, a moorland north of Lake Constance. Expect mostly smooth tarmac on quiet village roads and cycleways, with a few short path/gravel sections through the reeds. Rolling terrain with mild ups and downs; nothing too steep. Start anywhere in Pfullendorf and head toward Ruhestetten; easy to turn it into a short loop. Keep to marked paths—the Ried is protected—and enjoy the birdlife and open views. Best on a trekking or gravel bike; road bikes are fine if you’re okay with brief unpaved bits. There are occasional short stretches on busier roads, but most of the route feels calm. Handy pit stops in Pfullendorf (bakeries, cafés), and the historic old town plus the Seepark make nice add-ons before or after your ride.
