Between Hohenzollern and Baden Cycling Routes

A collection of 7 cycling routes.

Overview

About this collection

A compact set of rides linking the Hohenzollern heartland with Baden in southwest Germany. Expect rolling hills (about 250 m of climbing) and lots of smooth tarmac on mostly quiet country roads, with a few short stretches where the surface is unknown. It’s very road‑bike friendly; a gravel bike with slicks is perfect too.

The routes wander through Baden‑Württemberg scenery—fields, forest edges, and small villages—with the Swabian Alb not far away. There’s no fixed start, so hop on wherever it suits you and make it a relaxed after‑work spin or stitch sections together for a longer loop.

Tips: bring lights for dusk; rural bits can be dark. If you’ve got time, look for viewpoints and historic spots around the Hohenzollern area. Traffic stays low for most of the way, making this a calm, scenic ride without much hassle.
