Biberbahn Cycle Route

A relaxed, rail-trail style ride around 20 km, mostly on smooth pavement with a few short unpaved bits. The route strings together quiet roads and farm tracks, so traffic stays low and the scenery stays green. Expect gentle rolling terrain—about 130 m up and a touch more down—so it’s friendly for casual riders and families. You’ll see plenty of asphalt and other paved sections, with brief stretches of gravel and some cobbles; hybrids or touring bikes are perfect, and skinny road tires just need to take it easy in those spots. Wayfinding may appear as “Biberbahn-Radweg” along the way. Rideable in either direction, it makes a nice half-day spin between local villages. Pack water and a snack, and watch the few unpaved segments after rain.
