Badenweiler Blue Cycle Loop

Badenweiler Blue Cycle Loop

A cycling tour with 5 stages, starting in Schliengen, Baden-WĂĽrttemberg, Germany.

Overview

About this tour

Easy, scenic loop in the Markgräflerland wine country at the edge of the Black Forest. It links Badenweiler with nearby villages like Schliengen and Eschbach via quiet back roads and smooth paths through vineyards. Mostly paved (roughly 11 km asphalt) with a short stretch of hardpack track and just a brief busy-road bit.

The terrain is gentle—rolling rather than climbing—so it’s great for a relaxed spin, families, or a quick after-work ride. Road, touring, or gravel bikes are all fine.

Start wherever’s handy (Schliengen, Badenweiler, or Eschbach) and ride it either way. Nice stops: Badenweiler’s spa town vibe and castle ruins, cafés in the villages, and views over the Rhine plain toward the Vosges.

Plan on about 12–13 km total—enough to feel like a proper loop without taking all afternoon.
