Ibergeregg–Sattelegg-Linth
Ibergeregg & Sattelegg Pass to Linth Valley
A collection of 4 cycling routes.
Overview
About this collection
A classic Central Switzerland link-up: climb Ibergeregg, roll across to Sattelegg, then dive to the Linth plain. Expect about 61 km with roughly 1,650 m of climbing, mostly on paved mountain roads, plus a few quiet lanes and short track/path bits.
Highlights: big views of the Mythen peaks, ridgelines above Sihlsee, and a fast finish into the wide Linth Valley. Ibergeregg tops out around 1,400 m and Sattelegg around 1,190 m, so bring a layer and check conditions outside summer.
Traffic is mixed — some sections get busy on weekends (motorbikes and tourist cars), others are super quiet. A bright rear light helps in shaded stretches and short tunnels.
Ride it either way, depending on wind and legs. Pass cafés are great for a refill when open, and you’ll find shops down in the valley towns. Sturdy gearing recommended for the steeper ramps. Great workout, better views.
