About this collection
A relaxed riverside spin along the Serio in Lombardy. This collection links dedicated cycleways, riverside tracks, and quiet farm roads through Parco del Serio, not far from Bergamo. It totals around 30 km across the mapped sections and is mostly flat with gentle gradients.
Expect plenty of gravel and other unpaved bits, with shorter paved stretches through villages—perfect for wider tires. Traffic is low: most of the ride is on cycleways and tracks, with only brief hops on busier roads.
What you get: river views, poplar groves, farmland, and old bridges, with easy options to split the ride into shorter out-and-backs. North-to-south tends to feel slightly downhill. Towns along the way offer cafés and water, making it an easy day out.
Tips: go spring or autumn for mellow temps, bring water and a spare tube, and pack lights for the odd underpass. Great for a casual cruise or a family ride if everyone’s comfortable on gravel.
