SauerlandRadring North Loop

Explore the northern loop of the SauerlandRadring in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. This collection covers the signed Nordschleife: mostly smooth bike paths and quiet roads through forests, rolling hills, and small Sauerland towns.

It’s largely asphalt with gentle grades, great for relaxed rides, families, and e-bikes. Start anywhere and ride in either direction. You’ll find plenty of cafés and bakeries for breaks, plus easy chances to hop on public transport in nearby towns. The loop links with the RuhrtalRadweg around Meschede, so you can roll on into the Ruhr valley if you want to make it a longer tour.

Expect long car-free stretches, short bits on low-traffic roads, and clear waymarking. Surfaces are mainly paved with only the odd short gravel patch.
