Reutlingen R18 Loop

A local loop around Reutlingen that’s mostly smooth and simple to follow. Expect a lot of asphalt on quiet roads and farm lanes, with short bits on busier streets and a couple tiny gravel or boardwalk sections. Roughly 25 km with a few hundred meters of climbing, so it rolls—nothing extreme, but not flat either.

You’ll skirt the foothills of the Swabian Alb, pass green spaces along the Echaz, and have easy chances to grab a coffee in town. Ride it either direction and jump on anywhere—Achalm area, Betzingen, or near the center all work. 28–32 mm tires are perfect.

Watch for pedestrians in short shared zones and mind traffic on brief main-road links. Wayfinding is usually signed as R18, but a GPS track helps where signs go missing. Great for an after‑work spin or a mellow weekend ride, with options to add distance toward the Neckar valley or up toward Alb viewpoints.
