F76 Genk–Tongeren Cycle Route

Fast, mostly paved link across Belgian Limburg between Genk and Tongeren. Signed as F76, it strings together long dedicated cycleways with a few quiet streets, so it rides smooth and stress‑free. Almost all asphalt and concrete, with only a tiny unpaved bit.

It’s generally flat with gentle rollers—easy for commuting, e-bikes, or a relaxed weekend spin. Genk brings modern vibes and green spaces (Hoge Kempen is nearby), while Tongeren is Belgium’s oldest city with Roman roots. In spring, the Haspengouw fruit region near Tongeren is full of blossoms—great timing for a scenic ride.

Wayfinding is straightforward thanks to the F76 signage. There are train stations at both ends, and plenty of café stops along the way. Roll early to dodge busier town sections and enjoy the quieter stretches in between.
